Spiral3D is a budget brand of 3D printing filament that's focused on unique and beautiful color options for standard materials. When we started working on their brand identity, we knew we had to create something that would be versatile, memorable and most importantly, budget-friendly.

One of the first things we considered was where the Spiral3D logo would appear most often. We knew it would be on the product and packaging, as well as digital banners and product pages. We also knew it would be used by resellers, which meant it needed to be simple and available in a variety of file types.

Taking all of this into consideration, we decided to create a combination mark for Spiral3D. The inclusion of an icon allows for more versatility when it comes to small labels or circular digital icons. We chose purple as the main brand color because of its relation to creativity and magic, and because it's a less common color in the filament space, which allows it to stand out from the crowd.
